Partners in GFAR recognise the absolute importance of getting funds directly to poor producers and smallholder enterprises. Evidence from resource transfers and social protection programmes at national and local level over the last few decades in developed and developing countries alike has demonstrated that providing targeted, additional support at household level yields major impact for income, health and overall quality of life.
