This is a gentle reminder that the deadline for submitting your applications for the GFAR Chairperson position is fast approaching!
Message on behalf of Ms Xiangjun Yao, Chair of the GFAR Chairperson Search Committee
Dear Colleagues,
In its meetings in Accra and Punta Del Este in 2012, the GFAR Steering Committee appointed a Search Committee, drawn from across the constituencies involved in GFAR, to seek a new Chairperson for GFAR, who will commence their role in April 2013.
The Steering Committee has determined that the role of GFAR Chairperson will be publicized widely and transparently to ensure the best possible candidate is identified from around the world.
The Search Committee has been asked to seek suitable candidates to apply, or be nominated, for the position through an open process, select and interview if required from a developed long list of the top 10 candidates and draw up a short list of 3 leading candidates with an assessment of their merits and capabilities, for selection by the GFAR Steering Committee.
The advertisement and details of the role are attached here and we welcome applications from all suitably qualified candidates, or their nomination.
