FARA, CTA, CIRAD: a call for case studies for the first International Conference of the AIDA Project
(Accra, Ghana, 22-24 January 2007)
The International Conference on "Agricultural innovations in dryland Africa: what are the key drivers for success?" is the launching event of the INCO project "Unlocking the Potentialities of Agriculture in the Drylands of Africa to fight hunger (AIDA)".
We welcome case studies on innovations that have led to sustainable improvements in livelihoods and natural resource management in Africa's drylands, or critical analyses of failed interventions.
Please provide a one-page summary for pre-screening by the conference organizers. This summary should, to the extent possible, include information on the innovations and methodologies used and their impact on livelihoods, the target area and an estimate of the number of beneficiaries.
Please send your case study summary to the conference coordinator, Danièle Clavel (
) or Hélène Guillemain (
) before December 1, 2006
