Senior Technical Proposal Writer (Full-Time) and Proposal Writers (short term Consultants)
Position Title: Senior Technical Proposal Writer (Full-Time) and Proposal Writers – (short term Consultants)
Location: Full time Proposal Writers will be based in Singapore (Short term Proposal Writer/Consultant may telecommute)
Start Date/Duration of Contract: As soon as possible
CADG is seeking independent contractors/consultants to assist their Proposal Development team with technical proposal writing for Donor-funded Programs. Consultants could be based anywhere with good Internet and phone connectivity. For full time contractors, the role will be based in Singapore.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Serve as the Technical Team Leader on CADG’s Proposal Development Team, providing strategic technical guidance on overall proposal design and presentation, with an eye toward being technically competitive and adding value to the Donor
• Review RFAs/RFPs to understand technical requirements and donor expectations
• Lead the technical input for proposals
• Work with the Proposal Development Team, Finance Technical Staff and other Consultants to ensure proposals are developed in accordance with CADG’s quality standards
• Reviewing and editing the final technical proposal
Required Skills, Knowledge, Experience / Qualifications:
• Experience working as the technical lead for writing RFPs for USAID, DFID, World Bank, US Government (USG) or equivalent is required;
• Minimum 10 years of experience in writing USG proposals and technical strategy design is required;
• Strong track record in writing/editing/reviewing successful proposals for USAID and/or US Government funded programs is required; proven to be able to write successfully to Donor’s requirements.
• Strong knowledge of, experience and technical specialization in proposal writing for stabilization, agriculture, sustainable livelihoods, community development and/or social behavioural change communication in developing countries (required);
• Experience working as the technical lead for writing RFPs for large government contractors would be highly advantageous;
• Prior experience in writing for large scale complex bids of multimillion dollar value;
• Experience with proposals for Africa, Afghanistan/Pakistan, Middle East programs preferred;
• Multiple country work experience is required;
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills with all levels of management, technical and non technical staff, and able to effectively communicate technical concepts;
• Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities under multiple deadlines and demands;
• Able to handle and adapt to flexible and entrepreneurial environment of CADG;
• For full time position, willingness to travel to fragile states such as Afghanistan if it is necessary would be highly advantageous.
• Proficient in MS Word and other office applications;
• Advanced Degree preferably in International Economics and/or development-related field of study
• US citizenship preferred but not required; but experience in leading and writing USG proposals is required.
