Background
The Global Plant Clinic (GPC) is managed by CABI and is an alliance of plant health service providers and associated organisations. The GPC coordinates plant health services in Africa, Asia and Latin America via nine country schemes comprising over 80 independent plant health clinics. New countries will be added from 2010.
The GPC also offers an expert diagnostic service for any plant and type of problem and regularly publishes new disease records. The GPC trains plant doctors and scientists, supports plant health clinics and links extension, research, regulation and input supply. Our aim is to create durable plant health services for those who need them most

Purpose of the role
Assist in running the UK based diagnostic and advisory service and work with country schemes and partner organisations to support plant health clinics and establishment of plant healthcare systems.
