GFAR is glad to share the paper on the critical role of investments in social protection and agriculture in order to achieve zero hunger.

GFAR is advocating for increased investment in all AR4D sectors and is working to bring greater coherence and efficiency between national and aid investments and to better embed investments in research into wider commitments supporting rural development and foster enabling environments for the access, uptake and use of agricultural innovation.

This paper provides estimates of investment costs, both public and private, required to eliminate chronic dietary energy deficits, or to achieve zero hunger by 2030. This target is consistent with achieving both the Sustainable Development Goal 2, to eliminate hunger by 2030, and the Sustainable Development Goal 1, to eradicate poverty.
