Maru, Ajit
Ajit Maru is Senior Officer for GFAR’s theme on Agricultural Knowledge for All. He is an Indian National.
Prior to joining GFAR, Ajit has served the International Service for National Agricultural Research (ISNAR), the Dhirubhai Ambani Institute for Information and Communications Technology (DA-IICT), the National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, the National Dairy Development Board and the Central Sheep and Wool Research Institute in India.
Ajit has a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine and has been involved in animal health research. He initiated his professional career in 1978. He has continued to follow his interest in information and communications management, change management and animal health in agricultural research throughout his career and has contributed to the development of animal disease surveillance and monitoring systems, the Asian Small Ruminant Information Center, the Agricultural Research Information System of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research and in education and training in Information and Communications management for Agriculture in various organizations.
